Kid Tent Camping

When you go camping as a family your kids either will enjoy camping or dread it.  When I was younger we went on camping trips several times, but I did not enjoy camping.  I thought that it was boring and sometimes harder work for me than when we were at home.  I had to help set up the tent, help fix the lanterns, get the camping stove ready, set out the blankets and sheets, because we couldn´t afford to buy sleeping bags. Then I felt like we were constantly washing dishes and just when we finished we started making the next meal.  My sisters and I had to swim across a part of the lake to set out the trot line to catch fish which we never caught-one time we caught a turtle and a shoe.  I hated those camping trips, when we would start planning for the next one I dreaded the idea of going again.  Help your children enjoy family camping trips.

Help them find kids camping gear that will help them to look forward to the idea, just looking and purchasing them makes them get excited.  They need a kids sleeping bag, if you would like and its safe a kids camp tent or a bed tent child which are easy to set up right next to your tent or just let them have fun sleeping in there during the day.  They can find kids led flashlights and/or kids lanterns which come with batteries so they are safe to light up and leave on at night if they´d like, they should look at kids camping backpacks which sometimes come with things that they could use on their trip, maps, kids emergency lights or kids black lights they can use these in case they get lost or even for fun.  They should bring along a kids dunk bag which is made for storing toys or clothes that way if you store clothes they won´t stink up the place.

Another way to help them have fun, is buying camping items which are easy to set up so that they can have fun setting up their own Coleman kids tents and preparing their own kids camping gear for their use giving them a sense of responsability and helping them to have fun while doing it.  It is good for them to learn to participate in working as a family to set up the camp or to do anything in general.

Next take them to explore and show them how to use their kids lanterns or flashlights by going exploring a little bit at night, be sure not to go too far away from the camp sight in case of wild animals.  In the day they can use their kids compass to explore and find out how to know whether they are traveling EAST-WEST-NORTH –SOUTH if you take them hiking they will know that they are safe and can use their kids camping backpack that can carry bags for rocks, jars for insects or worms and containers for other things that are interesting. 

At night they can use a special kids lightning bug lantern to catch lightning bugs and store them safely so that they can have fun watching the lightning bugs light up at night.  This so much fun when you go trying to catch lightning bus and watch how they produce light at night.  This will bring up conversations about how they can light up like that giving you a chance to give them a fun educational experience.

With kids camping gear your children will have fun being in the vast open country.  They will now look forward to camping knowing how much fun it is.

Remember that if you are camping close to water there usually are mosquitos or other biting insects, so make sure to buy kids insect repellent as part of your kids camping gear this is a must so that they aren´t scratching the whole trip which will lead to negative thinking instead of the positive way of thinking.
