Your kids can have their many first in life: their first big cry, their first bath, the first smile and many other first activities. These moments are so hard to capture as they happen spontaneously. But there are those moments that we plan to make their first a more memorable one. It is very much unlike their first walk wherein you will be scramming for a camera to just capture the moment. This first would require a preparatory activity because it will be the very first moment they get to meet the untamed world. This very first experience I am referring to is their first camping trip.
There are so many things that you need to teach to your kids before they set out they first steps in to the wilds. It can be spontaneous when you are there already but it needs to be carefully planned. When you have your little ones with you, coleman kids camping gear are essentials aside from the food, your water supply and other camping equipment needed.
I wanted to take my kids to their very first camping. This was one activity that needs to be carefully planned and I wanted my kids to be very interested on doing it. To make camping very interesting, I included them in planning. If I had my own gear, I also made sure that they have their own sleeping bags .
This is one of the things that you can do for them. When you go out shopping, you can let them pick out things for their own. Give them the chance to choose the design that they want for their kids camping gear. Always ask them what they want to do and include them in planning. I am pretty sure that their first camping experience will be very interesting and your kids will surely remember it as they have great first time hands-on experience.
To let them get a feel of what camping is you can share stories. Tell them what they can see on this trip and what else they could expect. Try to share with them the possible activities that you can be doing while you are in the wilds. Tell them you can go swimming, fishing, bird watching and eating marshmallows. You can even bring their camping toys like toys to make them more entertained when they are tired with all the rough activities.
As you pack their things, let them help. You can give instructions on what they can bring and what kids camping supplies they can bring on their own. This will give them a sense of responsibility and they will feel as if they are given importance when they have a role to play. You can also tell them what they can do to help around. They will be happy to know that they can do what mom and dad is doing, carrying their own backpacks, hiking and helping around to build the tent and all.
Just remember to be ready in capturing every details of the trip as they will also have many spontaneous moments. Although carefully planned, you will be surprised what this first camping experience could awaken in your little giants. |
